The project
“Crecer overcame the challenge of modernizing its technology infrastructure by migrating to Google Cloud Platform. This transition delivered significant savings, greater scalability, improved security, and operational efficiency. More efficient management has improved customer service quality, providing a more cost-effective, flexible, modern technology solution.”
Eva Berganza, Data Architect, Information Technology Directorate, Crecer
The challenge
Crecer needed sustainable, flexible, and scalable infrastructure to guarantee service availability and business continuity, drive digital transformation, and secure a competitive advantage. This involved migrating approximately 72 workloads, which was carried out with minimal service disruption for end users.
The solution
Servinformación supported Crecer's migration to Google Cloud Platform with a specialized team, establishing the foundational architecture and configuring SharedVPCs and networks with hybrid connectivity. The migration used a lift-and-shift approach through Migrate for Virtual Machine and GKE services, while incorporating continuity services such as Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR).
Project results
Successful migration of 72 workloads to Compute Engine and Kubernetes, establishing efficient strategies for defining development, certification, Backup, Disaster Recovery (DR), and production environments, enabling Snapshot backups and ensuring information security with a Perimeter Firewall and Active Directory integration.
