We develop and implement on infrastructure of GCP a Machine Learning model for the identification of property elements from aerial images.
Challenge
In order to improve efforts to identify property elements such as buildings, Enel-Codensa faced the challenge of having to improve the accuracy and timeliness of early detection of invasions in power transmission lines. In addition, its large network coverage required a robust technological solution for its classification initiative to be automatic.
Solution
To mitigate the problem of manually evaluating the images to detect buildings that are in spatially contiguous sectors to power lines in different geographic areas, Servinformacion used Google Cloud Platform to train a convolutional network that classifies, locates, segments and then returns the results for visualization and decision making
The results
With the incorporation of Machine Learning technology, through the implementation of a segmentation model, through the use of the AI / ML functions of Google Cloud, Enel-Codensa was able to immediately achieve an increase in the easement management process with a high reliability percentage and full display of detected elements over BigQuery.
Servinformación helped understand the opportunity to improve the process of early detection of invasions on strips of land owned by the State, giving employees the ability to quickly evaluate their entire network coverage, a process that in the past was carried out manually without reach 100% of coverage.
