Results with Google Maps Platform

  • DIRECTV has developed a greater probability of closing a sale and streamlining processes, saving time in loading information on the geographic platform they already manage.

Google Maps Platform products used

  • Maps JavaScript API: allows the visualization of the map itself. From this API, sellers can view any results of sales information obtained through the Google Maps APIs that we want to implement.
  • Street View API: Insert real images with 360 degree panoramas, improving the user experience and saving sales team travel costs.
  • Autocomplete (Places API): provides predictions based on search location in anticipation of full address typing. This system of validation of addresses and / or sites of interest, reduces the margin of error in typing and thus the margin of abandonment of the search.
  • API Directions: calculates the distance and time to go from point A to point B and displays the optimal directions of travel for sales teams on the street.

Move services to the Google cloud to improve the sales process

Among the main needs that DIRECTV had were to georeference the coverage areas of its internet service and, through the tools of the Google Cloud Platform, Servinformación, a Google partner and a Colombian company specialized in geographic information systems, created a app to georeference clients (coverage areas) with visualization of the information that is processed on Google Maps and, later, another app that allows validating internet coverage, thus enriching databases and customer service.
